Absolutely brilliant company. My old cat of 19 years was diagnosed with cancer. I opted to go through oncology palliative care with a drug that would help shrink her tumour and maintain her quality of life. Animals friends paid all of my vet claims within days of the claim being made. Excellent customer service, pleasant people on the phone. Thank you for making my difficult experience a lot easier.

DEAN HThese insurance companies are absolute scams now days, my cat required emergency visit and then a tooth removed due to an abscess, I had my claim declined because due to small print they do not cover teeth or gum work.An animal insurance company who don’t insure you, its disgusting and should be illegal.I will not be returning to this company ever!

To say I am disgusted is an understatement. My policy has gone up 50% this year. I have had a policy with Animal Friends for 8 years with NO CLAIMS. I will be leaving feedback regarding this rip off of your company on every platform I can. You should be ashamed….

I joined late last year following a few horrendous experiences with my previous provider and all I can say is my experience is night and day in comparison with animal friends. They are quick and efficient, great customer service and had my claim settled and in my bank within 3 days of receiving it. I would highly recommend.

jm79Have insured my cat with animal friends since 2014. She is now 16 and has had hyperthyroidism for the last 3 years. I am able to claim back the cost of most of her blood tests and her daily medication which has been a great help. She has a lifetime policy. It is easy to contact the customer service/claims dept over the phone with queries. Thanks Animal Friends

Pauline FeatherstoneFollowing the sad loss of a much loved pet the veterinary surgery sent a claim to animal friends insurance on my behalf to cover some of the treatment she received before she died. I had contact with a few different members of staff at Animal Friends at the time and each one of them was so kind, understanding and helpful. I would honestly recommend this company as the staff are absolutely brilliant.

AmyClaiming is simple and quick. The customer service staff are always friendly if I need to call, and setting up the all the policies I have was so easy. I’ve been with animal friends for over 10 years with policies for 8 different animals over that time, both cats and dogs. I’ve recommended Animal friends to 4 different people who I believe have all taken out policies.

HaleyMy elderly dog recently passed away, after suffering from several ongoing conditions. The claims were always settled and promptly and I was shown compassion for my loss. My other 2 dogs continue to be insured with Animal Friends and when I had a make a claim when my Jackapoo was admitted overnight with suspected epilepsy, they paid out promptly and I feel reassured that if he does need medication for this in future it will be covered.

amy louIf only there was a no star option. I would avoid this place at all costs. Make claiming hard. I can’t bring up my policy on line to get my details.. will really struggle to claim with this portal stupidness as I live in Wales but my dog lived with my parents in England.. they’ve told me my vet needs to make the claim which is ridiculous.. I think he may be abit busy.. they say I’m not named on the policy even though I have proof that I am.. and I pay the bill. Funny how my details are fine for the direct debit! Money hungry and won’t help.. AVOID AVOID AVOID and all after the death of my dog.. as if things arnt hard enough

To clarify, we would need the treating practice to sign off on any treatment they have administered, and would also need to see any clinical notes or medical history the vets hold for the pet, as standard practice for pet insurers.
Please rest assured that we have no time limit on claim submissions, meaning this can be submitted at any point.
In order to protect our mutual position and adhere to Data Protection laws, we are only able to discuss policy specific details with the registered policy-holder, or any authorised parties that the policy-holder has added to the policy.
To confirm, being the account holder for where the direct debit is taken is not the same as being the registered policy-holder. If you are not named on the policy, we would need the registered policy-holder to request that you be added as an authorised party in order to discuss any details with you.

Really quick payout for a claim just before Christmas. Ensured that I could split the claims over two years to meet the policy condition (£1k per condition per year). Really appreciated that for an old dog just diagnosed with kidney disease.

Anne WallaceUnless you can submit a continuation claim through a vet, which only takes a few days to settle, it can take more than two weeks for the claim to be processed (my dog’s physiotherapist can’t submit a claim on my behalf). New claims I can understand, but not continuing. Apart from that I am very happy with Animal Friends.
