When you rely on your car, you can count on us to keep you on the road. If you need to make a car insurance claim we’ll keep things as simple as possible.Step 1 – To claim or not to claim? 

Not all accidents or incidents will result in a claim being made. Depending on the excess on your policy, it may be cheaper to pay for smaller repairs instead of making a claim and paying the excess. 

If you have built up several years No Claims Discount (NCD) you may prefer to protect this rather than make a claim.

Whether you decide to make a claim or pay for the repairs yourself, you do need to notify us. This is to ensure that our records are correct and your policy has the correct level of cover.

Step 2 – Getting in touch

If you need to contact us to make a claim please rest assured we have a dedicated team ready to help you. A claims consultant will work closely with you and keep you informed on the progress of your claim. We will aim to make the whole process as simple as possible.

Lloyds Bank Car Insurance is underwritten by a panel of insurers and is arranged and administered by BISL Limited. When getting a quote online you’ll be taken to BISL Limited’s online site with a new privacy and cookie policy.

Here’s what you can expect if you need to make a claim against your Lloyds Bank Car Insurance policy. 

To help us process your claim you’ll need to provide some details.

Here’s what we’ll ask you for:

  • your policy number
  • the date and time of the accident or incident
  • details of any third party involvement
  • details of any eye witnesses
  • if the police or emergency services were involved.

If your claim is due to a car accident you don’t need to call us straight away. However, we’d recommend you contact us within 24 hours if possible.

We’ll review your car insurance policy and check the details of your claim against your level of cover.

We will advise on any excess amounts that may be payable based on your policy.

We will discuss any No Claims Discounts (NCD) you may have and whether this will be impacted when you make a claim.

We may ask you for any additional supporting evidence, if available. This could include photographs or video footage you may have taken on a dash camera. Please note, not all insurers from our panel of insurers accept video footage. This will be discussed as part of your claim.

We know that making a car insurance claim can sometimes be quite stressful. Your insurer will keep you up to date on the progress of your claim from start to finish.

Our aim is to settle your claim as soon as possible, so we can get you back on the road. The time taken to settle your claim will depend on the type of claim made. and how complex it is.

For instance, accidental damage will take less time to complete than a claim where a third party is involved.

If you need to make a claim, we’ll aim to get you back on the road as soon as possible. From starting your claim to getting it settled, we’ll keep it simple.

THEY TRY TO SAY THAT THOSE WITH LOWER CREDIT RATINGS HAVE A GREATER POSSIBILITY OF FILING CLAIMS THAN THOSE WITH HIGHER CREDIT SCORES. THEY ALSO ADD SEVERAL DEDUCTIBLES AS WAYS OF GETTING OUT OF PAYING OUT ON CLAIMS. THEY ALSO HAVE RECENTLY GOTTEN INTO THE HABIT OF USING INFLATION AS AN EXCUSE TO CHARGE HIGHER MONTHLY PREMIUMS. HERE’S THE REAL DEAL: INSURANCE COMPANIES SHOULD ONLY USE ONE’S DRIVING RECORD TO BASE THEIR MONTHLY PREMIUM RATES ON. THOSE WHO HAVE NOT HAD ANY TICKETS, ACCIDENTS, DUI’S, ETC WITHIN A 5 YEAR PERIOD SHOULD ONLY BE CHARGED ROCK BOTTOM MONTHLY PREMIUM PRICES, WITH NO EXTRA CHARGES FOR CREDIT RATINGS, AND NO DEDUCTIBLES AT ALL. THOSE WHO DRIVE PROFESSIONALLY FOR A LIVING, AND HAVE CLEAN DRIVING RECORDS, WITH NO TICKETS, NO ACCIDENTS, NO DUI’S SHOULD ALSO BE PAYING AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE FOR MONTHLY PREMIUMS, BUT IT SEEMS THAT ALL INSURANCE COMPANIES ARE INTERESTED IN IS GETTING MORE AND MORE $$ IN THEIR DEEP POCKETS AND WILL DO ANY, AND EVERYTHING THEY POSSIBLY CAN TO MAKE DAMN SURE THEY GET AS MUCH PROFIT IN THEIR POCKETS AS THEY ABSOLUTELY POSSIBLY CAN, EVEN IF IT MEANS SCREWING OVER THEIR CLIENTELE BASE. AND, ALL INSURANCE COMPANIES SHOULD ALSO BE FORCED BY LAW TO TAKE EVERY SINGLE PENNY THEY GET EVERY SINGLE MONTH FROM EVERY SINGLE CLIENT THEY SCREW OVER, AND PLACE THAT $$ INTO AN ACCOUNT IN THE NAME OF EVERY SINGLE CLIENT, AND ANY CLIENTS THAT DRIVE FOR 10 STRAIGHT YEARS OR LONGER, AND NEVER HAVE A SINGLE ACCIDENT AT ALL, OR NEVER RECEIVE A SINGLE TICKET AT ALL FOR ANY KIND OF TRAFFIC OFFENSE, AND DECIDE TO GIVE UP DRIVING FOR WHATEVER REASON, THEY SHOULD GET EVERY SINGLE PENNY OF ALL THE MONEY THEY WASTED ON FALSE SECURITY SUCH AS INSURANCE REFUNDED BACK TO THEM, INSTEAD OF THE INSURANCE COMPANIES JUST KEEPING IT FOR THEMSELVES !!!!! INSURANCE IS NOTHING BUT FORCED, LEGALIZED GAMBLING, AND, ACCORDING TO THE SCOTUS, THE ONLY PEOPLE REQUIRED TO BE LICENSED, REGISTERED, AND INSURED ARE THOSE WHO CONDUCT COMMERCE, AND ARE BEING PAID TO DRIVE DIRECTLY ON THE ROAD. THOSE WHO ARE NOT GETTING PAID TO BE BEHIND THE WHEEL, AND ARE NOT CONDUCTING ANY KIND OF COMMERCE DIRECTLY ON THE ROADS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO BE LICENSED, REGISTERED, OR INSURED BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT DRIVING FOR A LIVING, AND CONDUCTING COMMERCE DIRECTLY ON THE ROADS, THEY ARE ONLY PRIVATELY TRAVELING FROM POINT A TO POINT B IN THEIR PERSONALLY OWNED MODERN DAY METHODS OF CONVEYANCE. TRAVELING FREELY WITHOUT ANY GOVERNMENT INTERFERENCE IS A GOD GIVEN INALIENABLE RIGHT, WHICH NO GOVERNMENT, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER IT IS FEDERAL, STATE, OR LOCAL, HAS ANY POWER, OR AUTHORITY TO TAKE AWAY, AND REPLACE WITH A GOVERNMENT ISSUED PRIVILEGE. STATES SAY DRIVING IS A PRIVILEGE…. THIS IS TRUE, BECAUSE DRIVING IS RELATED TO COMMERCE, SO YES, DRIVING IS A PRIVILEGE, BUT PERSONAL TRAVEL IS NOT A GOVERNMENT ISSUED PRIVILEGE WHICH CAN BE REGULATED BY GOVERNMENT, TRAVEL IS A GOD GIVEN RIGHT !!!!!
