Done a quick search on a compare website.gave darwin insurance a call on the customer service line which i got an answer right away.service was good had lots of questions which they was happy to help with.sorted a policy straight forward to set up.would recomend to others when there policys run out.

Simple to use the web-site and select my options, plus easy to pay.

The web-site was speedy with very little to no lag and my documents were emailed within seconds. the info provided was concise and simple to understand.

It was very simple to go through the procedure with Darwin I am a little bit disappointed with the price. I was quoted one price, as soon as I agreed to go ahead , the price was changed. I have no idea why this happened. I cannot give an accurate review as my insurance begins in two days time. Until then I will have to save my comment for another time

Because I did it through “Compare the Market” the date on their site was 23 Jan, I changed the date to the 16th but the policy came back with a start date of 23 Jan.I called your number and changed the date but you cancelled the policy and charged me £14 more.Whilst the sum is small the IT and subsequent increase was not good

Online initial info good and clear. Did not expect to have to supply NCD data. Found that tricky. Your phone service is awful. I rang 8 times to get help and whatever you press it reveets to introductory message.Waste of time and money. I finally sorted it online

Renewal piece was not good. Had to go and a new quote which was much cheaper. Although I didn’t want the policy to start for 28 days still took monies for the policy immediately. So therefore paying for nearly a months insurance without using it.

I needed insurance on a second car and as I am already insured with Darwen I thought I would try them after getting quotes from the usual compared site’s and surprisingly they offered the best specs insurance for the cheapest price. The advisor I spoke to was very clear on everything and fully explained all the different options available to me and was very helpful. Only one negative is getting past the automated message’s at the beginning of the call, nearly 4 minutes of blurb is off putting but otherwise a good company to deal with.

Was cheapest and a brand of a big group. Obtain NCB years online not from previous insurer’s, think Darwin and all insurers should prefill the NCB years so customers can check it and save time inputting.

Got a quote through topcashback on 5t Jan which is a good deal if I get the cashback. Sent an email on the 7th Jan to ask if I get a full refund if I cancel before the policy starts. Still waiting for a response on 12th.The cashback has not registered within the normal 7 days so it is not looking good.

Had a quote via Go Compare, tried to take it up, ended up phoning in, very little help from employee, was cut off before resolution and then was asked for feedback on experience by automated device; it apparently couldn’t hear my low scores. Thus ends my Darwin experience! I went with Swiftcover instead.

Good experience generally although the amount quoted differed when I came to pay from the agreed quote resulting in me having to telephone. The young lady could not explain what had happened but took the original payment amount and was super helpful
