My son has had ticker since Jan 21 after 6 months black box not working,so we get sent a new plug in one. We both upgraded our phones and now we can’t get the app to work can’t log in all we keep getting is error try again! We both have the same problem as I’m a name driver on he’s insurance. We went to Apple and they did a diagnostic check on our new phones both updated to iOS 16.1 so that’s not the problem. It takes 3 working days for tec people to get back to you. I will say I have spoken to staff and they are really good but after a week we are still no further forward. We have done all the advice. Turning phone off,uninstalling and installing. Nothing

Terrible customer service
I got my own policy with ticker insurance a month ago on my mums car as a new driver. I was sent a plug in box which didn’t seem to connect to my phone as I expected. I got in touch as I was worried my parents driving would reflect poorly on my policy plus their miles would be added onto mine which would quickly get me over my declared amount . I got a very poor response about how all I need to do is plug the box in and it would collect my data (didn’t answer my question at all) a couple days later I was informed ticker was to cancel my policy due to dangerous driving. I really don’t know what the reason for this is and can only assume it’s the result of my parents driving which is probably not as careful as a new driver such as myself. We paid the annual bill in full so I’m really hoping I’ll be able to get some of that refunded or that’s a decent amount of money wasted. I really feel that if they had sent a stick on box, which apparently connects to my phone so they can tell when I’m driving, when I contacted them, then this issue would not have occurred. Information on when and where the ‘dangerous driving ‘ occurred would also help differentiate to me who was driving the vehicle so I can at least know if I’m to blame but it’s been very hard to get any feedback from ticker. It’s cheap insurance don’t get me wrong but you really do get what you pay for I suppose. I’m not allowed to use ticker insurance anymore apparently but honestly good riddance

Was fine until the box wouldn’t connect
I was happy with Ticker. I only have 1 month left until my renewal with ticker, its started about a month ago, my stick on box wouldnt connect to my phone and ticker is not receiving data. This has happened before, to fix this i uninstalled the app reinstalled it and pressed the button on the box to pair to my phone again. This time over it did not work.
I started a chat with the ticker team and we came to the conclusion that my box was just faulty and agreed to send me another one. I was assured that i can drive while the box is not connected to my phone as long as i keep the broken box stuck on my windshield until the new one arrives in the post. I have been driving as normal but today when i woke up i got an email threatening to cancel my insurance policy on the 7th of September if they dont recieve driving data. If the new box doesnt arrive in the post by then, it will be impossible to do this. I spoke to a member by chat and reassured me that i wont get cancelled but the thought lingers in my mind that i might get automatically cancelled by their system as it hits the 7th of September.
Conclusion – it was fine just until the final months where the box just wont receive data. Now i need a new box or i will get cancelled – Mark
